New Graphics Major - Fall 2008

After much discussion, plans to introduce a new Graphics Major seem to be going on schedule. While it may take two years or more to add the complete core's for Desktop Publishing, a few introductory courses will IM"H be offered beginning in Fall Semester 2008. The new major will most likely be focusing on Web and Media design (eventually print design as well). Students will be instructed in the use of Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver to design and build websites and web based advertising and publications in addition to learning the philosophy behind Graphics Design.

This is not an official announcement, rather its an informal "heads-up".

If you are seriously interested in taking Design classes, please see one of the Deans; the more students who can commit to attending, the better chance of getting this going.
