well according to your reasoning, alan needs to apologize nicely to himself regardless of whether he is cannongaonnon or not. you, on the other hand, are yourself; ergo, you require no nice apology. so perhaps alan had other reasons to apologize to himself, but that is still no proof that he is cannongannon.
