The SanDisk Sansa M200 series is a pretty cheap alternative to those fancy-shmancy iPods and such. The M240, for example (which i happen to own) carries up to 1GB of music, perfect for the basic traveler or commuter who owns a computer as well. For ease of use, merely attach the included mini-USB cable to your computer, and upload the songs you want to play.
