you may not want to read this it's kind of harsh. nonetheless, i see truth in it, and i feel that i must speak my mind for the betterment of the forum community.

The stories are ok but we need more topics in other ..er... normal areas... this site was about school... sorry I dont mean to diss the ..er... stories... but we need to move in a more mature direction.... even a serious story would do... I could add rpg options if thats what people want... like rolling dice and a health bar... so the stories actually move foward... though I do want more people to post more serious matters and stuff...the stories were supposed to be a side thing...

RPG= Role Playing Game. A game where you play as a predefined character, and must solve puzzles and/or complete an objective before being able to advance. Jedi Outcast is a good example, it combines an RPG elemnt with a classic (and futurized) first person shooter. Since combat situations are Real-Time instead of Die-Based, it is not a true RPG. Neverwinter Nights or Warcraft are more traditional RPG's, utilizing the 20-sided dice found in D&D games. See RPG for more details.

i'm confused. is the concept of a role-playing game on a forum supposed to be attractive to one considering membership? in other words, do we see someone looking at this site and saying, "oh look, they have a role-playing game, i'd better join quick to get in on the action"?

Methinks you have made a mistake, Homerpalooza, by characterizing Warcraft as an RPG game that uses the 20-sided-dice. Warcraft I, II, and III are all Real-Time-Strategy games and World of Warcraft is an Online RPG (MMORPG) but it does not use the d20 system.

Since the relevant Ability Modifier in determining initiative order is Dexterity we need to identify which of you has the higher Dex Modifier. This can be done by seeing who wins a thumb war.
